Narcissists aren't the most original people out there, so it's quite easy to list the types of things they're likely to tell you during various phases of their abuse/relationship cycle.
It doesn't mean that everyone who says any of these things is definitely a narcissist, but if you're collecting a lot of bingo points from the list below, and you were already feeling unsettled by aspects of your relationship, don't ignore it!
Phase 1: Idealisation (also known as love bombing)
You're the most amazing/wonderful/sexy/beautiful person I've ever known
You're perfect!
I've never met anyone like you
I've never felt this way about anyone before
I love everything about you
I'll never love anyone else
Where have you been all my life?
You're my whole world
I've only known you for a short time but I want to spend the rest of my life with you

Phase 2: Devaluation (also known as 'having the rug has been pulled out from under you')
Why are you so sensitive?

I can see why you have abandonment issues
You're too emotional
I don't do drama
Can't you take a joke?
You're crazy
I don't like labels, isn't it enough that you get to spend time with me?
Why can't we just have a nice time? Do we always have to talk about your feelings?
You're the problem in this relationship
You're just imagining things
Are you ever satisfied?
I can't do anything right, can I?
Phase 3: Discard (sometimes known as scorched earth)
You were never worth my time

It doesn't matter what you say about me, no one will believe you
