Hi, I'm Shannon

As a registered counsellor, I specialise in helping people navigate relationships, neurodiversity and narcissistic abuse.

With warmth, compassion and understanding, my goal is to support you in ways which allow you to clear unwanted, energy-draining feelings such as shame, confusion and embarrassment, allowing you to move forward with calm, confidence and clarity. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Reasons to book a counselling session with me:

1 - Relationship trauma and distress

If you're in a difficult, toxic or narcissistic relationship, you know something isn't right because relationship issues are on your mind a lot!

You might be dealing with this on your own, or you're finding it difficult to feel understood by others, leading to a concerning sense of isolation.

2 - Navigating neurodiversity

You're looking for a counsellor who understands what it's like to have a neurodivergent brain in a neurotypical world (I've got the ADHD operating system with a very enthusiastic inner voice - it takes effort to avoid using too many exclamation marks sometimes!!!).

Perhaps you're late diagnosed and want support as you come to terms with the roller coaster of feelings we experience when we finally have the answer - the thing that explains why we've always felt different to those around us!

Or maybe you're looking for ways to improve how you relate to others so you can have stronger connections and more fulfilling relationships?

3 - Managing separation

When our lives are busier than ever, there's never a convenient time for the major upheaval separation brings, not to mention the wide range of conflicting feelings such as shock, relief, sadness, grief, longing and injustice (especially if there have been abusive behaviours) which can be difficult to process.

Aside from all the logistical matters, this is a crucial time of rebuilding, growth and, perhaps, healing for you.

Has your self-esteem taken a beating? Are you recovering from complex-PTSD? Do you need a new set of coping methods so you can successfully co-parent with a difficult ex-partner?
