Because counsellors don't have the responsibility of clinical diagnosis or assessment, we're free to be truly present with you. This contributes to a more relaxed atmosphere of acceptance, creating a comforting space for you to open up and express your emotions without fear of labels.

Confidentiality
Most counselling settings allow clients to opt-out of having session notes recorded in their client file, giving you the option to maintain a higher level of privacy if this is important or necessary for you.
